Evidence Presented to Bristol Health Scrutiny Committee 1st November 2011
Local Authority Health Scrutiny Committees were established as a result of the Health and Social Care Act 2001 . The purpose of the legislation was to give democratically elected bodies the powers to review whether local health needs are being met, thereby increasing greater the NHS public accountability
On 1st November 2011, SWWHAG presented this evidence to Bristol Health Scrutiny Committee:
